Tesla autopilot has been proven right. We can clearly see that vehicles having the ability to learn on their own rather general mapping will help get autonomous vehicles quicker to the road.
To get to know more about preparation, implementation and pricing based models of roads, the book Road Pricing, as reviewed by Prof Haluk Eren is a must-read. Automatic number plate identification as elaborated in one of the chapters, on roads, can reduce crimes
The book ”Road pricing: Technologies, Economics, and Acceptability” edited by John Walker which is been reviewed by Professor Haluk Eren of Firat University highlight how vital its content will be of great help to the government in formulating policies that can solve road transport problems or challenges such as congestion and pollution.
Road pricing is a very good technique that helps reduces some burden of transportation from the government alone and helps in the maintenance of the road by introducing a tax system to the road users. The book under review is really rich in content, it helps to feel the gap for preparation, implementation, new technologies of road pricing scheme throughout the world and help policy advisers about the existing and future pricing applications, and explain some economic theory, a different type of road charging schemes and public acceptability, and how to cope with transportation and challenges such as congestion, pollution, etc.
With the evolution of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) as well as ITS growth, Road Pricing should be given a great deal of consideration. With the review presented by Prof. Haluk, I recommend the book for researchers in such field.
People needs enlightment on the benefits of autonomous vehicles on the road. else, there will be contineous attack on these vehicles just as it happens in the city of Phoenix. a lane man’s concern is with the security of other road user. he needs to know the level of safety precaution put in place before trusting this vehicles with his life.
