Small Unmanned Aircraft Theory and Practice, written by Randal Beard and Timothy Mclain, Princeton University Press, 2012, 317 pages, ISBN-10: 0691149216, ISBN-13: 978-0691149219, recommended publisher’s price is $94.95.

Uber was developing UAV but I really don’t know the current progress, this has a great prospect as air navigation is oftentimes simpler than the road. Another great review by Prof Haluk on the book Small Unmanned Aircraft. The book focuses on 5-10ft wingspan unmanned aircraft, autopilot designs in C++ and will be an interesting read
Small Unmanned Aircraft Theory and Practice by Randal Beard and Timothy McLain is a must-have and must-read by students who want to understand the operations and controls of unmanned aircraft as suggested by the authors. The textbook provides a hands-on learning approach for its readers because it contains design projects/exercises.
Unmanned aircraft are new/evolutionary component of the aviation system. It offers several new exciting opportunities, as well as a no. of challenges to the sector. it will help the military in reconnaissance, surveillance, battle damage assessment, etc.
The book under review focuses on opening the reader/researcher’s mind in the exciting and rapidly developing field of autonomous navigation, guidance, and control of driverless air vehicles, with a focus on the design and software required for autonomous and semi-autonomous flight.
I recommend future researchers of the readers or the researcher himself should consider how to take off, or land without a large runway just as choppers land. Thank you, Nice work from the authors!!!
