Philip Krein is Chair of the IEEE Transportation Electrification Community and delivered a very interesting and provocative talk titled “Leveraging High-Performance Electric Transportation for Intelligent Systems”.

Mehran Shirazi will be talking about supersonic passenger flights in his Transportation in History minisection.
And finally Haluk Eren has done a very interesting book review on the book titled “Incremental Learning for Motion Prediction of Pedestrians and Vehicles”.

Transportation in History
Tu-144: Tupolev Tu-144 was the first SST to enter service and the first to leave it. Only 55 passengers flights were carried out before service ended due to safety concerns. A small number of cargo and test flights were also carried out after its retirement
Concorde: The Concorde supersonic transport had an ogival delta wing, a slender fuselage and four underslung Rolls-Royce/Snecma Olympus 593 engines. G-BOAF was the last of the British Concordes to be completed and the last to fly in 2003
